Anadolu Architecture and Furniture Cultural Heritage Museum and Research Center, our country's first architecture and furniture museum, was opened on 25 Aralık 2008.
It is in Merik Konağı on Lodumlu Doğramacı Caddesi. It is Bilkent’s famous Merik Konağı or, as it is known among the public, the “Altın Köşk.” This building was designed as a mixture of a rich cultural accumulation, taking examples from 1000 forms and motifs and 30 structures (köşk, konak, saray, cami, ev) that were used and became symbolic in the interior and exterior spaces of Anatolian architecture.
