Malıköy, located on the Ankara-Eskişehir railway line, is a settlement center connected to the district of Polatlı. The Malıköy station located here is a very important station that affected the fate of the nation in this region where the Battle of Sakarya took place. The station, which was the most important base after the command center, became the place where all the needs of the Battle of Sakarya were met and where first treatment was administered to wounded soldiers, and during the war it was used as an infirmary, military ammunition and logistics center, and military aircraft runway.
TCDD Malıköy Train Station Museum consists of the martyrdom monument erected in the name of 5 thousand 713 martyrs, the monument of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in civilian clothes, the German-made locomotive dated 1897 and the German-made wagon dated 1909, restored by TCDD and used during the Battle of Sakarya, 2 aircraft made true to the originals of the aircraft of that time, and the station building. The sections where the train and aircraft are located can be visited accompanied by aircraft and train sounds. In the museum, where the War of Independence is represented with sculptures and visual materials, railway materials used in that period are also exhibited.
