Within the scope of the work of the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency Cultural Heritage and Museums Directorate, Turkey’s first migration-themed museum was opened in Çatalca on 20 Aralık 2010 in cooperation with the Lausanne Exchangees Foundation and Çatalca Municipality. In the Exchange Museum, which will create spaces and environments that will develop cultural relations and enable the revival of feelings of longing, sadness and joy that will remind the past to the Greek and Turkish citizens subject to the exchange, their children and grandchildren, their relatives, and those who are in some way interested in the exchange, the clothing of family elders, kitchen utensils, written documents, photographs and all kinds of memorabilia are exhibited.
