Cumhuriyet tarihinin ilk modern sinema-tiyatro-konser salonları arasında yer alan , ünlü mimar Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu´nun projesi doğrultusunda TayyareCemiyeti (Türk Hava Kurumu) tarafından yaptırılmış ve 1932 yılında hizmete açılmıştır. 1945 yılında Bursa Belediyesi tarafından satın alınan bina, uzun yıllar sinema ve hizmet binası olarak kullanılmış, 1991 yılında özgün biçimine geri döndürülmek amacıyla restorasyon çalışmalarına başlanmıştır.Tayyare Kültür Merkezi Birinci Ulusal Mimarlık Dönemi eserleri arasında, en sade ve güzel örneklerinden birisidir. 700 kişilik konser-gösteri, 4 sergi, 100 kişilik toplantı salonları ile Bursa kültür yaşamında yerini almıştır.
