Kendi adı ile anılan semtte, Yeşil Külliyesi içinde yer alan medreseye Sultaniye Medresesi de denilmektedir. 1414-1424 yılları arasında Çelebi Sultan Mehmet tarafından yaptırılmıştır. 1923 yılından beri Türk İslam Eserleri Müzesi olarak kullanılmaktadır. Medrese iki katlı olarak yapılmaya başlanmış,ancak Çelebi Sultan Mehmet’in ölümü üzerine üst kat yapılamadan kalmıştır.
