Hamam; "çifte hamam" tipolojisine uygundur. Eski "Yeni Hamam" olarak da bilinir. Yapımına Yıldırım Bayezid döneminde başlanmış olup, Bursa’nın Timur ordusu tarafından işgali nedeniyle yarım kalmıştır. Hamam Çelebi Mehmed döneminde tamamlanmıştır. 1485’te Çandarlı İbrahim Paşa, hamamın duvarına bir çeşme yaptırmıştır. Uzun bir süre harap durumda olan yapı, 2006-2008 yılları arasında kültür merkezi işlevi verilerek, restore edilmiştir. Hamam bünyesinde; biri büyük diğeri küçük iki adet seminer salonu, fuaye salonu, kahve salonu, sergi salonları, geleneksel sanatlar kurs ve uygulama salonları ve Türk mutfağından yemeklerin sunulacağı bölümler yer almaktadır.
