Çukur Han, located on Tuzpazarı Caddesi, was commissioned during the reign of Sultan Murad II by Emir Efendi of Bukhara, the son-in-law of Yıldırım Bayezid. Built of cut stone and brick, this han, like the other hans, was two-storeyed around a courtyard and consisted of arcades and rooms; however, the parts of this han that have survived to the present day are three of the ground-floor rooms on the south side and the stairways of the western gate arch.
