Hocaalizade Semti'nde yer alan ve 19. yüzyılda Fransızlar tarafından yaptırılan kilisenin orijinal ismi Santa Maria Kilisesi’dir. Yapı olarak diğer kiliselere benzemeyen binanın bünyesinde dispanser, yetimhane ve hasta bakım yeri de bulunmaktaydı. Barok tarzındaki kilisenin üst örtüsü ahşap çatılı ve kiremit örtülüdür. Çeşitli dönemlerde onarımdan geçen ve 1970’lerde İtalya’dan gelen ailelerin ibadetine açılan kilise, 2004 yılında restore edilerek kültür merkezine dönüştürülmüştür.
