2016 yılında Hacettepe Sanat Müzesi kendi koleksiyonunu zenginleştirme çalışmalarına kapsamında resim, heykel, video, fotoğraf, seramik ve grafik sanatları alanında isim yapmış önemli sanatçılarından bağış yolu ile 80’e yakın eserlerini koleksiyonuna dahil etmiştir.
Toplamda 48 eseri bulunan Burhan Doğançay’ın 4’ü tuval üzerine yağlıboya olmak üzere 8 eseri daha eşi Angela Doğançay tarafından bağışlanmıştır. Mengü Ertel, Bülent Erkmen, Sadık Karamustafa, Jale Erzen, Kemal İskender, Tülin Onat, Cevat Demir, Hane Yeter, Serpil Yeter, Bünyamin Özgültekin, Nedret Sekban, Nezih Çavuşoğlu, Bahri Genç, Devabil Kara, Bahar Kocaman, Mürteza Fidan, Erkan Özdilek, Zafer Mintaş, Çağrı Saray, Orkun Mustafa Müftüoğlu, Sema Ilgaz Temel, Özlem Üner, Mehmet Ali Uysal, Mehmet Yılmaz, Cezmi Orhan, Atila İlkyaz, Genco Gülan, Ferhat Özgür, Nurdan Karasu, Hayri Esmer, Lüt Özden, Ahmet Öğüt, Barış Sarıbaş, Mehmet Öğüt eserleri ile müzenin önemli sanatçıları arasında yerlerini almışlardır.
Yine Hacettepe Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi'nde görev alan öğretim elemanlarından Cebrail Ötgün, Hasan Kıran, Zuhal Baysar, Serap Emmungil, Nil Köken, Ozan Bilginer, Havva Altun, Aslı Işıksal, Mehdi Saadeti, Seval Şener, Burcu Sultan Demir, Tuba Merdeşe, Engin Esen, Ceren Selmanpakoğlu, Okan Ercan 2016 yılında eser bağışında bulunarak koleksiyonun zenginleşmesine ayrıca katkı vermişlerdir.
