Yaşar Okuyan Bulvarı Sanat Sokağı köşesinde, Kültür Bakanlığı Anıtlar ve Müzeler Genel Müdürlüğü’nün 18.03.2002 tarih ve 003448 sayılı onayları ile Açık Hava Müzesi kurulmuştur. 6000 yıllık geçmişe sahip olan İlimizin çeşitli yerlerinde çıkan ve değişik yerlerde muhafaza edilen tarihi eserlerin toplanarak sergilendiği güzel bir mekân oluşturulmuştur. 29 Ekim 2003 tarihinde açılan müzede Roma, Bizans ve Osmanlı Dönemine ait eserler yer almakla birlikte Yalova’nın çeşitli bölgelerinde bulunan eserlere ait maketler de yer almaktadır. İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürlüğü tarafından kurulan Açık Hava Müzesi; Bursa Müzesi Uzman elemanları tarafından dizayn edilmiş olup, 2005 yıl sonu itibariyle, İlimizde çeşitli tarihlerde çıkarılan 46 adet mevcut tarihi eserlerin envanter bilgileri hazırlanmıştır. Yalova Belediyesi personeline zimmetle teslim edilen eserler 24 saat koruma altında olup, mesai saatleri içerisinde ziyaret etmek mümkündür.
