Konak Meydanı'nda, çinileri ve sekizgen planıyla dikkatleri çeken, İzmir’in en zarif camilerinden Yalı (Konak) Camii, Mehmet Paşa kızı Ayşe Hanım tarafından 1755 yılında yaptırılmış, I.Dünya Savaşı’nda onarılmıştır. Dışı Kütahya çinileri ile kaplı olan cami 1964’de geçirdiği onarımdan sonra yalnız kapı ve pencere kenarlarında çiniler bırakılmıştır. Klasik Osmanlı mimarisi tarzında tek kubbeli ve tek minareli şirin bir yapıdır. Sekizgen planlı caminin mimarisinde kesme taş kullanılmıştır.
