It is one of Ankara’s most important recreation and entertainment centers, opened for service in as short a time as 100 days. The total usage area is 508 thousand square meters. 141 thousand square meters of this area consists of the pond area. In the pond, in addition to the Mississippi Ship and boats used for excursion purposes, the island and reeds that create the lake’s natural beauty, there are also 9 floating piers belonging to businesses. Its total green area is 250 thousand 200 square meters, and 98 thousand 700 trees, saplings and shrubs are planted on this area.
The park consists of many areas that can be used for social, cultural and sporting purposes, where water and green are together. Among these are Yelken Kaskatlı Ada Restoran, Tepe Restoran, tea gardens, and a 1 thousand square meter picnic area where the cinema hall is located. The Mountain Sled, where entertainment and adrenaline are experienced together and which was implemented for the first time in Turkey, is also among the park’s activities. With its 1,6 kilometer walking path stretching along the pier, the lighthouse providing a bird’s-eye viewing opportunity, and many more activities, it is among Ankara’s favorite places worth seeing and visiting.
