In order to stop the deterioration occurring in the building and its furnishings, a comprehensive maintenance and repair work was initiated between 2002–2007, and together with these works, the necessary arrangements were made for the building to be exhibited not so much as a museum, but as a ‘residence’ reflecting the period in which it was used. Atatürk Müze Köşkü, whose restoration work was completed, was reopened to visitors on 19 April 2007.

At Atatürk Müze Köşkü, which is toured with a guide, the aim is to reflect Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s life in the mansion and to give visitors the feeling that they are in a house where life continues.
