Sakar Dede köprünün sahibini lanetlemiş olduğundan, nehir yolunu değiştirmiş ve köprü kuru toprak üzerine kalmış. O yüzden Sakar Baba'da: "Geçme namerd köprüsünden,Ko aparsın su seni,Sinme tilki gölgesine,Ko yesin aslan seni" deyip suya dalmış ve karşıya geçmiştir.
