Marmara Gölü’nün güneyinde, Gediz Ovası’nın kenarında, yaklaşık 90 kadar Tümülüs içeren Bin Tepeler ya da diğer adıyla Lidya Kral Mezarlığı bulunmaktadır. İki büyük tümülüsün, Kral Alyattese ve Kral Gyges’e ait olduğu sanılmaktadır. Tümülüslerin hemen hepsi ilk ve orta çağlarda soyulmuştur. Tapınağın arkasında MS. 400'lü yıllarda yapıldığı tahmin edilen küçük kilise, ilk yedi kiliseden birisidir.
