The largest of the plateaus on the Bozdağlar is Gölcük plateau. The plateau is important in terms of tourism with the approximately 1 km² alluvial barrier lake it contains. The plains around the lake and the forest texture behind them are suitable areas for eco-tourism. Today, the lake and its surroundings are an important recreation-picnic area. Day-trippers coming from Ödemiş and Salihli, and even from Izmir, reach the plateau. Those who visit the lake enjoy an ideal atmosphere for fishing and boat trips, and for nature walks. There are hotels and guesthouses on the plateau capable of accommodating tourists.
