Üzüm Dedesi Tomb, located in Üzüm Dedesi Mevkii of Merkezefendi Mahallesi in Merkezefendi district, is a work from the Ottoman Period. The tomb belongs to Sheikh Hüseyin Hulusi Efendi, a student of Hacı Hasan Fevzi Efendi, known as ‘Üzüm Dedesi’. He was born in 1838 in Bayındır district of İzmir province. In his youth, he worked in spinning wheel manufacturing and, for an unknown reason, fell into prison. After leaving Denizli prison, where he spent the last days of his prison life, he repented and became a student of Hacı Hasan Fevzi efendi, one of the Nakşibendiyye Sheikhs, and in a short time he rose through the ranks and attained perfection. He died in 1907.
