Merkez İlçe, Büyükcami Mahallesi, 5 pafta, 60 ada, (1-11), (20-25) parsellerde yer alan Aşağı Taşhan 18'inci yüzyılın ikinci yarısında eşraftan Emin Ağa tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Kesme taştan inşa edilmiş olan iki katlı avlulu hanın güney cephesinde ortada yuvarlak kemerli giriş kapısı vardır. Bunun üzerinde iki büyük konsol çıkıntısı ile dışa taşırılmış giriş mekanı dikdörtgen şeklinde olup, üzeri beşik tonozla örtülüdür. Güney cephesi her iki köşeden pahlanmıştır. Eyvan şeklindeki giriş mekanı içinde, doğu ve batı duvarlarında ufak birer niş vardır. Arkadaki dikdörtgen mekan ise, köşeleri pahlanmış bir ufak avlu çevresindeki dükkanlardan oluşmaktadır. Günümüzde ortadaki ufak avlu üzeri düz tavanla örtülmüştür. Handa küçük kare biçimli ve yuvarlak kemerli mazgal pencereler kullanılmıştır. Han, zamanla onarımlar geçirerek kısmen değişikliğe uğramıştır.
