Seçilen alan, diğer Neolitik Dönem yerleşim yerlerinde olduğu gibi su kenarı, vadi ya da ovada olmayıp, Harran Ovası’nı kuzeyde sınırlayan uzun bir yükselti silsilesi üzerinde, görüşe ve manzaraya hâkim bir konumda bulunmaktadır.300 m. çapında ve 15m.
