The mosque is located in the Hanlar area, around Kelleçi Stream. On the inscription of its west gate, it is written that it was built in 1568 (Hijri 975) during the time of Sultan 2.Selim. Although its patron is not known for certain, it is estimated to be Behram Paşa. The structure is covered with three domes parallel to the mihrab. Above the entrance gate there is a mükebbire, which, with this feature, is the only example among the mosques of Urfa. The minaret located in the northwest has seven tiers as ornamentation. The mosque was repaired in 1759 (Hijri 1173) by Muhammed Bihsevi Ağa, during the reign of Sultan 1. Ahmed, who ruled between 1603-1617, by Ramazan Ağa son of Abdullah, in 1887 (Hijri 1305) by a person whose name could not be identified, and according to an undated inscription by Seyyid Muhammed son of Hüseyin Namdar. Apart from these, there is an inscription on the grave in the courtyard. The grave inscription consists of 4 lines, and the first 3 lines have been damaged. Only the name Behram Paşa can be read in the 1st line. Based on the date Hijri 970 (AD 1562) in the 4th line, and considering that Gümrük Hanı was also built around these dates, it seems likely that Behram Paşa was the patron of the structure.
