Rızvaniye Medresesi, Halil-ür Rahman Gölü’nün (Balıklıgöl) kuzeydoğusundaki Rızvaniye Camii’nin avlusunu çevreler şekilde inşa edilmiştir. İnşa kitabesine göre Osmanlı Devleti Dönemi'nde Rakka Valisi Rızvan Ahmet Paşa tarafından 1736 yılında yaptırılmıştır. Osmanlıca telaffuz farkından dolayı birçok kaynakta “Rıdvaniye Medresesi” olarak geçmektedir. Medrese, cami avlusunu çevreleyen “U” biçimli bir plana sahiptir. Medrese hücrelerinin önünde revaklar mevcuttur. İnşa malzemesi düzgün kesme taştır. Avlunun kuzey kenarı ortasındaki kubbeli bir dershane mescit bulunmaktadır. Medrese, Rızvaniye Camii ile birlikte 1992-1993 yıllarında Şanlıurfa İli Kültür Eğitim Sanat ve Araştırma Vakfı (ŞURKAV) tarafından restore ettirilmiştir.
