The greatest Qadiri Sheikh of his era, Sheikh Dede Osman Avni (K.S) Hazretleri, is descended from the Islamic Prophet Hz. Muhammed (s.a.s). The following is written on the inscription above the tomb: “This is the pure lodge of the sultan of all saints, Ğavsül-a’zam hazreti Abdulkadir Geylani.” Sheikh Efendi constantly stayed in Mevlidi Halil Camii and carried out his service there. In this way, he served as sheikh for 70 years and passed away in 1883.

The following is written on the inscription above the tomb: “This is the pure dervish lodge of the sultan of all saints, Ğavsül-a’zam hazreti Abdulkadir Geylani hazretleri.” Şeyh Efendi continually stayed in Mevlidi Halil Camii and carried out his service there. In this way, he served as sheikh for 70 years and died in 1883. According to what was written by Hafız Halil Efendi, who carried out the service of the order after him, Şeyh Efendi lived for about 100 years. Dede Osman’s prayer beads, robe and some of his belongings are still exhibited at the visitor entrance of the mosque.
