Sakarya merkez Cumhuriyet Mahallesi Kavaklar Caddesi’nde yer alan ve Adapazarı Belediyesi’ne bağlı olan Deprem Müzesi 450 metrekarelik kullanım alanına sahiptir. Sergi standları, kafeterya ve sinevizyon salonu bulunan müzede; Adapazarı’nda meydana gelen 1967 ve 1999 yılı depremlerine ilişkin deprem öncesi ve sonrası fotoğraflar ile suni deprem yaratan titreşimli elektronik bir stant, depremde yıkılan binaların yapım tekniği ile ilgili inşaat malzemeleri ile sismograf ve depremle alakalı diğer unsurlar sergilenmektedir.
Binanın mimarisi ve iç düzenlemesi tamamen fotoğraf, tablo, resim ve bu gibi malzemelerin sergilenebileceği bir sanat galerisi şeklinde inşa edilmiştir. Bölgenin birinci derece deprem kuşağında kalması nedeni ile İlimizde meydana gelen depremler öncesi ve sonrasını belgelemek, “deprem olgusunu” sürekli ve sıcak tutabilmek amacı ile 2000 yılında yapımına başlanan Deprem Müzesi 2004 yılında ziyarete açılmıştır.
