There is no construction inscription on the structure, nor is there any source information. However, approximately 15 meters to its north, there are a mosque and a fountain bearing the same name as the tomb, and according to the inscription on the fountain, it was built in 1178H. / 1764-65 A.D. The same type of stone material was used in the mosque, fountain, and tomb. Because of these features, it is probably from the same date as the mosque. The fountain was commissioned by Ebu Bekir Ağa. It can also be thought that the tomb was built by the same person.
The tomb, which has preserved its original character, underwent repairs in 1976 and 1982; with these repairs, the covering stones of the dome were renewed and the surrounding area was arranged. Externally, the structure, measuring 3.82x3.82 meters, belongs to the group of baldachin-type tombs. Brick was used on the inside of the dome; yellowish fine-grained trachyte stone was used on the piers, arches, and the outside of the dome. The tomb is in an “L” shape and is covered with a dome 2.70 meters in diameter, resting by means of pointed arches on 4 piers 2 meters high. The transition to the covering system was made with pendentives from the corners. The outer corners of the piers were chamfered from the level of the springer stones of the arches, forming an octagonal drum 0.40 meters high ending with a stone cornice. The dome was placed on this drum. Under the dome is a monolithic prismatic stone sarcophagus (there is no inscription). The structure was built quite plainly.
