Muğla Belediyesi Hizmet Binası 1867 Osmanlı İdari taksimatında mutasarrıflık olan Menteşe Livasının hükümet konağı olarak yapılmıştır. Konağın planı devrin jandarma komutanı olan Şamlı Binbaşı Hüseyin Bey tarafından çizilmiştir. Şam’ daki bir konaktan esinlenerek çizildiği düşünülmektedir.
Muğla İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürlüğü
Adliye Binasının 2. katı 1889 yılında Muğla Mutasarrıfı olan Cafer Paşa tarafından yaptırılmış ve binanın inşaatında Rum ustalar çalışmıştır. Bina, 1949 yılına kadar valilik binası olarak daha sonra da adliye binası olarak kullanılmıştır. 2003 yılında Milli emlak Müdürlüğü tarafından Belediye Hizmet Binası olarak kullanılmak üzere Muğla Belediyesine devredilmiştir.
