The ceiling penwork-like decorations of Redif Dairesi, one of İzmit's military structures built for reserve officers in the late Ottoman period, are important. Redif Dairesi was used as a military court building until the 1999 earthquake. This structure, which is under the use of the Ministry of National Defense, was damaged in the 1999 earthquake.
