Antik Su Kemeri

Approximately 50 m. long, 15 m. high, and built as a two-storey structure, its foundations bear traces of the Roman period. We learn from ancient sources that the aqueduct was commissioned by Plinius, the governor of Nicomadia, during the reign of Emperor Trajan in the 2nd century A.D. It is understood from the traces belonging to the Byzantine and Ottoman periods found in its upper parts that it underwent continuous repairs after the periods in which it was built.
