Yapı Karabey Sokak'ta yer almaktadır. 1886’da Sultan Abdülhamit döneminde Metropolit İonnis tarafından yaptırılmış olan kilise, Rum vatandaşların mübadele yoluyla Talas’ı terk etmesinden sonra 1925 yılında mülkiyetinin devredilmesi ile camiye çevrilerek ibadete açılmıştır. Orijinalinde kilise olan yapı, haçvari plan şemasında inşa edilmiştir. Güney yönünde mihrap ve minber eklenerek yapı camiye çevrilmiştir. Panaya Kilisesi olarak bilinen yapıya, camiye çevrildikten sonra Yaman Dede Cami adı verilmiştir. Caminin teras kısmının altında tol biçiminde düzenlenmiş dükkânlar mevcuttur. Günümüzde dükkânlar kültürel amaçlı hizmet vermektedir.
