After the archaeological artifacts were moved in 1969 to the newly built building in Gültepe Mahallesi, Hunat Hatun Medresesi was opened to visitors as the Ethnography Museum on 06 March 1983 after the restoration works were completed. The ethnographic artifacts were moved to the Selamlık Section, located to the east of Güpgüpoğlu Konağı and added to the building later, and after the display and arrangement works were completed, the Ethnography Museum was opened to visitors on 18 May 1998.
