Üryan Baba Tomb is buried on the slope of the hill facing Harput, when going up to Harput, after walking about 100 m to the right before reaching the steep cliffs referred to as "Kayabaşı". The structure forming the shrine section was created by converting a cave within the rocks into a tomb.
It is said that the masjid next to the tomb was formerly used as a tekke. The entrance door of the tomb consists of a semi-arched stone block placed on two side columns made of rectangular stone. On the stone block forming this entrance door, the following inscription is found: "Among Allah’s gnostics and among the scholars of the secret of love toward Allah, and also among the servants loved by Allah for his generosity, Hafız Muhammed, son of Ömer, grandson of İsmail, attained the great rank of شهادet and died here. May Allah sanctify his secret." The tomb was built in the Hijri year 1278, immediately after the discovery of the grave. Immediately to the right after the entrance door is the grave sarcophagus.
