Artukoğulları Dönemi'nde 1203–1204 yıllarında inşa edilen cami, küçük ebatta dikdörtgen plânlıdır. XIX. yüzyılda büyük bir onarım gören caminin tavanındaki ahşap işlemeler bu döneme aittir. Minaresi kapı üzerine inşa edilmiş olup, şerefeye kadar sıra ile daha yukarısı ise dama şeklinde siyah-beyaz taştan yapılmıştır. Cami, ismini bu siyah-beyaz taşlardan almıştır.
