Arap Baba Masjid and the tomb located on its lower floor belong to the Seljuk period. The masjid and tomb were built on rocks. The minaret of the masjid, which has a domed roof, has been partially destroyed. As in Seljuk tombs, the body inside the tomb is located on the lower floor of the tomb. The person in this tomb is known among the public by the name 'Arap Baba'. Although there is no definite information available about Arap Baba, the tomb was commissioned in 1279 during the reign of the Seljuk ruler Keyhüsrev. In its inscription, Yusuf, the grandson of Şaban and the son of Arap Şah, is mentioned as its patron. The body in the tomb is preserved in a glass case covered with green cloth. The tomb is visited with interest by local and foreign tourists. Various legends are told about Arap Baba.
