Akkoyunlu Hükümdarı Hasan Bahadır Han’ın annesi Sarahatun tarafından 1465 yılında mescid olarak yaptırılmıştır.1585 yılında tamir edilmiş ,1843 yılında yapılan onarımla da bugünkü halini almıştır. Cami kare planlı olup ,minberi taş işçiliğinin güzel örneklerindendir.Minaresi 1898 yılında tamamlanan cami bir külliye halinde inşa edilmesine rağmen, bugün yalnızca camii kısmı mevcuttur. Halen ibadete açıktır.
