Panagia Pontobasilissa ya da belde de tanınan adıyla Kemerli Kilise, duvarlarına resim yapılan ilk kilise olarak bilinmektedir. Kilisenin Panagia Pantobasillissa’ya (Hz.Meryem’) adandığı bazı el yazması eserlerde belirtilmektedir. Kilise, doğu-batı doğrultusunda uzanan Yunan haçı şemasına sahiptir. Yapı kullanılmasa da halen ayaktadır. İlk yapının duvar tekniği göz önünde bulundurularak, 13’ncü yüzyıl sonlarında yapıldığı kabul edilmektedir. Hıristiyan âlemi için büyük önem taşıyan bu kilisenin duvarlarında kat kat resimler bulunmaktadır. İlk tabaka freskleri 14. yüzyıl başlarına, ikinci tabaka freskleri ise, 18. yüzyıla (1723) tarihlenmektedir. Sütunlarının İskenderiye’den getirildiği rivayet edilir. Yapı dış cephesindeki destek payandaları nedeniyle halk arasında Kemerli Kilise olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Kilisenin duvarlarıyla, kubbesi sağlam durumdadır.
