1908 yılında Ziraat Mektebi olarak inşa edilen binada Halide Edip Adıvar tarafından Anadolu Ajansı kurulmuş ve bina 27 Aralık 1919 tarihinden itibaren Atatürk ve çalışma arkadaşlarının karargâhı olarak altı ay süreyle hizmet vermiştir. Atatürk’ün kaldığı ve Kurtuluş Savaşı harp planlarını hazırladığı oda, kullandığı çalışma masası, soba, perdeler ve halı ile Atatürk Odası adıyla müze haline getirilmiştir.
Meteoroloji Teşkilatı’nın kuruluşundan bugüne kadar, meteoroloji alanında Türkiye’deki gelişmelerin izlenmesi ve gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması amacıyla kurulan Meteoroloji Müzesi iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde yazılı ve görsel tarihî dokümanlar ve belgeler, ikinci bölümde ise meteorolojik alet ve cihazlar sergilenmektedir.
