It was built in the 3rd century by the Roman Emperor Caracalla, son of Septimius Severus, in the name of the God of Health Asklepios. It has been determined that this platform, which is today called the Roman Bath, is a mound, and that at the top are the remains of the Roman Age (partly Byzantine and Seljuk layers), and beneath it the settlement of the Phrygian Period.
