Amasya Taşhan was built in 1699 by Mutasarrıf Rahtuvan Hacı Mehmet Paşa and commissioned to Architect Mehmet Kalfa. Above the main entrance gate, which forms a projection outward, the inn’s inscription is located within a long, narrow rectangle. A rosette motif can be seen in the middle of the inscription and on the keystone of the door arch. Shops are lined up on both sides of the door. When entering through the door, there is a large courtyard surrounded by different spaces.
