One day, he comes to visit his elder brother İğneci Baba in Amasya, who made his living as a shoemaker. He also brings as a gift the milk he has milked from his sheep, wrapped in a handkerchief. His aim is to show that the milk he put in his own handkerchief does not leak from the handkerchief. Serçoban hangs his handkerchief on a nail on the wall of the shoemaker’s shop. At that moment, İğneci Baba is taking the foot measurement of a lady in his shop. When Serçoban sees the lady’s heels and thinks to himself, “how beautiful they are,” the milk from the handkerchief hanging on the nail begins to drip slowly. İğneci Baba senses that there is corruption in his brother’s intention, but he does not show anything. When the lady gives her foot measurement and leaves the shop, İğneci Baba says to his brother Serçoban, “Miracle is not in attaining it on the mountaintop; the miracle is here, in not letting the milk in your bundle drip.”
