Especially in the 16th century, during the time of Sultan Dîvânî, one of the seventh-generation descendants of Hz. Mevlânâ, it became a very important center in terms of mevlevîlik. In addition, the tradition of “40 Hatimli Şifalı Aşûre” first began in Afyonkarahisar Mevlevîhânesi during the time of Sultan Dîvânî and spread from here to many mevlevîhânes. (Today, it is the only mevlevîhâne that continues this tradition)
