Hierapolis Antik Kenti Katedral
It is one of the most important Christian cult structures of Hierapolis Antik Kenti. The baptismal area is entered through the door on the right; the rectangular, apsidal space is divided into 3 naves by columns. The entablature was carried by the second row of columns belonging to the section where women sat. The apse has a round interior and a polygonal exterior plan. Inside the main apse is the concentric stepped seating, synthronon, where the priests and the bishop sat during the ceremony. The building plan shows us, with the medieval repairs and A.D.
