1552-1553 yıllarında Mimar Sinan tarafından yapılan cami, il merkezinde bulunmaktadır. Zamanında Rüstem Paşa Külliyesi olarak kurulan yapı, medrese, imaret, cami ve kervansaraydan meydana gelmişti. Külliyenin vakfiyesinde ise çifte hamam, mektep, dükkânlar, depolar ve tabakhane bulunmaktaydı. Fakat külliyeden günümüze sadece yeniden inşa edilmiş hamam, cami ve medresenin bir kısmı ulaşabilmiştir.
