Cedid Ali Paşa Camii
It is the only work built in Marmara Ereğlisi during the Ottoman Period. It was commissioned by Cedit (Semiz) Ali Paşa, one of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman’s grand viziers, to Mimar Sinan in 1565. Since it has undergone various repairs and alterations, it has largely lost its originality. The mosque has an interesting story.
