1908 yılında Vali Reşit Akif Paşa zamanın da Jandarma Dairesi olarak yaptırılmıştır. Batı ve kuzey yönünde uzanan Jandarma Binası'nın planı “L” biçimindedir. Her iki kolun birleştiği köşe yapının ağırlık noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Bu köşede yapı üç katlı olarak düzenlenmiştir.
Üçüncü katta tek mekân bulunur. İkinci katta ise bunun yanlarına ikişer mekân eklenmiştir. Zemin katta ise kollar tek katlı ve çok mekânlı olarak uzanmaktadır. Yapı; kolların kesiştiği köşede sekizgen olarak düzenlenmiş, her üç kattaki odalar bu plan düzenine uyularak yapılmıştır. Sekizgenin güney yönünde asıl giriş bulunmaktadır. Arazinin eğimi nedeniyle yapıya taş merdivenle çıkılırken, daha sonra bu giriş kapatılmıştır.
Bugün yapıya köşenin iç tarafındaki kapıdan girilmektedir. Sekizgen planlı köşe kulesi denebilecek bölümün silmelerle çerçevelenmiş alınlığında yapım yazıtı bulunmaktadır. Halen sosyal tesis olarak kullanılmaktadır.
