Cıngırt Kalesi'nde 27 Temmuz -26 Agustos 2012 tarihleri arasında müze müdürlüğü başkanlığında Gazi Üniversitesi Öğretim üyesi Yrd. Doç. Dr. Ayşe Erol danışmanlığında 8 kişiden oluşan uzman ekip tarafından kurtarma kazısı yapılmıştır.
