Kesikbaş (Şemsi Tebrizi) Tomb: The tomb, located in the southeast of Niğde's Eskisaray Neighborhood, belongs to the group of single-storey, rectangular-plan tombs. The structure, measuring 5.40x9.95 meters externally, was placed in the east-west direction and yellowish fine-cut trachyte stone was used in its construction. Since the structure was built quite plainly, no decorative element is seen. A severed head lies here. There are many legends and rumors about it. The strongest is that the person lying here is Şemsi Tebrizi. In his work titled "Mevlana," Mehmet Önder determined this belief in his studies by saying, 'The Kesikbaş Tomb in Niğde is also attributed to Şems.'
