Sille, Anadolu uygarlıkları içinde çok mühim bir yeri bulunan, kültürlerin bir arada yaşadığı özel bir mekândır. Sille, doğal silüetiyle ve bu silüetle bütünleşen tarihî izleriyle, sivil mimarîsi ve yerleşim dokusuyla, örf, adet ve gelenekleriyle, bağ ve bahçeleriyle farklı yaşam tarzına sahip bir yerleşim yeridir. MS 327 yılında Bizans İmparatoru Constantin’in annesi Helena, Hac için Kudüs’e giderken Konya’ya uğramış, buradaki ilk Hristiyanlık dönemlerine ait oyma mabetleri görmüş, Sille’de bir mabet yaptırmaya karar vermiş ve temel atma törenine bizzat katılmıştır. Aya-Elena Kilisesi, asırlar boyunca onarımlar görerek günümüze kadar gelmiştir. Ayrıca Selçuklu ve Osmanlı dönemlerine ait Taş Câmi başta olmak üzere câmiler, Hacı Ağa Hamamı, Subaşı Hamamı, çeşmeler, köprüler gibi Türk-İslâm eserleri de bulunmaktadır.
