Eski adıyla Cedidi Müslüm Bey Mahallesi'nde bulunan meydanın ortasında, bu günkü Turgut Bey Caddesi’nde Osmanlı padişahlarından IV. Mehmet tarafından 1667 (H.1078) yılında meydan çeşmesi olarak yaptırılmış olup, bu nedenle IV. Mehmet (Avcı) Çeşmesi ve Orta Çeşme olarak da bilinmektedir. Halen sağlam ve faal olup, cephe aynasında talik yazı ile beş mısralık ilk inşa kitabesi bulunur. Dört köşe ve dört cepheli olup, her yüzü kare şeklinde bir meydan çeşmesidir. Üzeri kubbe ile örtülü, duvarlar kesme köfeki taşındandır. Rivayete göre avlanmayı seven padişah IV. Mehmet bu yörede dinlenirken içtiği suyun hoşuna gitmesiyle bu mahalleye bu çeşmeyi yaptırmıştır.
