On Melikler Yaylası, located above Pınargözü Mağarası, thousands of mountaineers coming from many parts of Turkey gather every year at the Mountaineering Festival by setting up their tents in groups. During the three-day Mountaineering Festival, an ascent is made to the summit of Dedegöl Dağı. Melikler Yaylası and the surroundings of Dedegöl Dağı are quite rich in terms of endemic plants. Karagöl at the summit of Dedegöl Dağı and the Dedegül Flower, which grows only on the foothills of Dedegöl Dağı, are the focus of mountaineers’ interest.
