Excavations (1914-1924) and research (1982-1983) have completely determined the locations of the walls. The city's main entrance gate is located in the west. In the north of the city, there are remains of structures such as Aqueducts, Nympheum, Bath and Palaestra. In the centre are the Theatre, Tiberius Area, Propylon and the area of the Temple of Augustus.

Approximately 56 years after the excavations carried out by Americans in the ancient city between 1920-1924, rescue excavations were conducted from the 1980 years onward under the presidency of the Museum Directorate, with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the local administration. At the Antiokheia Ruins, small-scale excavations were also carried out in the Bath-Basilica structure, the Theatre, the Nympheum (fountain structure), the west gate and its surroundings, at the mouths of the street entrances continuing to the east, west, north and south sides on both sides of the Decumanus Maximanus and Cordo Maximanus streets, and in St. Paul and the Central Church.
