Yalvaç Müzesi
The ongoing research in the Ancient City of Pisidia Antiokheia, which became the focus of archaeological research for approximately 150 years, revealed the necessity of establishing a museum in Yalvaç as early as the 1900s. The artifacts uncovered during the excavations carried out by the Americans were moved to the high school building in Yalvaç at the end of the excavation season, and later, although the excavations had ended in 1947, a storage facility was built for the artifacts that continued to come from Yalvaç and the surrounding villages.

The need for a museum created by the artifacts exhibited for a while in the Yalvaç Library resulted in the construction of a building suitable for display in Yalvaç, and the building, whose construction began in 1963, has been in service since 1966.
As of 1980, the storage and exhibition of the large number of artifacts obtained as a result of excavations carried out in Pisidia Antiocheia on behalf of the museum directorate, together with thousands of artifacts acquired by the museum through purchase or various other means, created great difficulty because the existing storage areas and display cases were insufficient. On the other hand, the increasing number of domestic and foreign visitors in recent years also made a new display arrangement inevitable. Upon such a need, new reorganization works were started in 1998, and within 2 years, all display cases in the indoor halls, especially the storage areas, were changed in accordance with the conditions of the day and reconsidered from the beginning.
The museum, whose display and arrangement were completely renewed with a contemporary understanding of museology, was opened to service on 16 July 2000. Today, it preserves its characteristic as the oldest large museum in the Lakes Region both in terms of the richness of its artifacts and its visitors.
There are four indoor exhibition halls in Yalvaç Museum. These are the Prehistory Hall, the Classical Artifacts Hall, the Ethnography Hall, and the St. Paul Hall. In addition to the indoor exhibition, there are also many artifacts in the garden exhibition. Many of the artifacts in the garden exhibition are architectural pieces brought from the Ancient City of Antiokheia. Many pieces belonging to the theater building are located here. Apart from these; column capitals, columns, altars, sarcophagi, grave steles, and architectural pieces belonging to many different structures are also exhibited in the garden.
